Connect To Viber, WhatsApp, Messenger & Skype Via WordPress- Ultimate Contact Buttons
Please make sure that you are logged-in in your respective Skype, Messenger, Viber and WhatsApp Account to use Ultimate Contact Buttons
- Unzip ultimate-contact-buttons.zip file.
- Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-contact-buttons.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on ‘Ultimate Contact Buttons’ option menu in WordPress left admin menu.
Once you have successfully installed the plugin, check for the Ultimate Contact Buttons menu on the left admin menu and click on it.
Having clicked on the Ultimate Contact Buttons option menu at the left WordPress admin menu, you will see two main submenus- ULtimate Contact Buttons and Shorcode Generator besides how to use and about us submenu.
Ultimate Contact Buttons
The 1st submenu- Ultimate Contact Buttons is where you customize the plugin’s settings. It consists of all the four contact buttons available in the plugin. You can enable/disable the contact buttons of your choice here. Besides the contact buttons tab, you can also find the tab- Floating button configuration here which is solely dedicated for setting the floating positions for your contact buttons.
All of the Contact Button tabs have few common configuration options.
Your contact detail goes here. i.e. your valid username for Skype and Messenger & your contact number for WhatsApp and Viber. Please make sure that your contact number is preceeded by your country code.
This field must be enabled to enable your contact buttons.
Enable in Desktop:
This field must be enabled for your contact button to be displayed in the desktop.
Enable in Mobile:
This field must be enabled for your contact button to be displayed in the mobile.
Enable Button Text:
This field must be enabled if you what a text on your button.
You will see this field only if you have your “Enable Button Text” enabled. You can enter your desired button text here.
Button Text Align:
You will see this field only if you have “Enable Button Text” enabled. Please select right if you want the text to be displayed at the right side of the button icon.
Enable Button Text Only:
You will see this field only if you have “Enable Button Text” enabled. This field must be enabled if you only want a button text on your button and not the button icon.
This field must be enabled if you want to enable a tooltip for your button.
You will see this field only if you have “Tooltip Text” enabled. You can enter your desired tooltip text here.
If you want to display the contact buttons on all the pages, posts and categories, select “All” or else select “Specific”. The list of all the available pages, posts and category will be displayed and you can select your desired options.

You select the animation for your contact button here.
Menu Position: Select the position for your menu. You can either select the beginning of the existing menu list or the end.
Menu Option: All the menu options are listed here. You can select your desired menu option here. The list of menus depends on the theme you are using.
Other than the above mentioned common configuration settings, Messenger and Skype also enables native chat buttons. Their respective tabs are described below
Live Skype Chat Button:
You can find this tab inside the heading Skype. Enabling this live chat allows live chat/messaging from the site itself. You can also select your button color and text message color.
Live Customer Chat Button:
This tab resides inside the Fb Messenger Button.
Facebook App ID:
You need to enter your valid Facebook App Id here. If you dont have one already, please check this link for the step by step instructions for creating Facebook App. Once you have created the link make sure it is live.
Facebook Page ID:
You need to enter your valid Facebook Page ID here to connect via the messenger. Incase you dont know your page’s id, you can find it here
You can select your chat button theme color here.
Logged In greetings:
You can enter the logged In greetings here so that logged in users can see it.
Logged Out greetings:
You can enter the logged Out greetings here so that logged out users can see it.
Inorder for the chat box to operate properly, you need to follow few more steps which is listed below:
- Go to you Facebook Page. Note: Its Facebook Page not Facebook Account
- On the top right end, you will see a settings link. Please click on it.
- Now, at the left, look for “Messenger Platform” and click on it.
- Then, Look for the “Whitelisted Domain”. Please enter your site’s domain in it and click save.
- Finally, In the same page you will find “Customer Chat Plugin” . Inside it, click on the “Set Up” button, a popup will appear. Now, Configure the settings as per your need and enable “I’ve added the code to the website” and click finish.
Once you have completed making the necessary changes in the settings as per your requirement, Click on ‘Save Options’ and you will see the visible output in your frontend. Also, on clicking the ‘Restore Default’, all the changes you made will be changed to the default values of the plugin.
The submenu- Shortcode Generator is where you configure your settings to generate shortcode, These shortcode can be used anywhere you like. Even in the widget.
You can select your desired contact button and enter the respective credentials here.
You can configure basic settings of the shortcode generator here.
This setting allows you to select the color for your contact button, text, icon background color and the icon over the button.

Once you have completed making the necessary changes in the settings as per your requirement, Click on ‘Click Me To Generate Shortcode’ and copy paste the generated shortcode in the required places and see the desired output at the frontend.
