Documentation/Theme Instruction – AccessPress Ray

Installing AccessPress Ray Theme from Administration Panel
Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New
Search for “Accesspress Ray”. You will find it in the search result. Simply, click install button.
Click on Install button and then Activate to install the Theme.

or

Download Accesspress Ray Theme from here into you computer.

Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New
Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer.
Click on Install button and then Activate to install the theme.

Installing AccessPress Ray Theme using Cpanel / ftp

Download Accesspress Ray theme from here into you computer.
Unzip the downloaded zip file.
Upload the unzipped file in to /wp-content/themes/
Now, activate the theme by going to Appearance -> Themes in the WordPress dashboard.
Activate the AccessPress Ray and Click on “Theme Option” in the Appearance Menu in the Dashboard.

Enable/Disable Responsive Design

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
Check the box to disable Responsive Design / Uncheck the box to enable Responsive Design
Click on Save Options

Change Web Page Layout

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You can select Web Page Layout to Fullwidth or Boxed as you required
Click on Save Options

Show Search in Header

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You can enable/disable to Show Search in Header
Click on Save Options

Upload Favicon

In Basic Settings, you will see a Upload Favicon labelled with Upload button. Click it.
Browse the image and save the changes.
Make sure that the uploaded file is in png format and doesn’t exceed the size of 16 X 16.
Click on Save Options

In Basic Settings, you will see a Upload logo labelled with Upload button. Click it.
Browse the image logo and crop it as required and save the changes.
Make sure that you upload the image with size 250X170 pixels.
Click on Save Options

Logo Alignment

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You can select Logo Alignment as Left or Center
Click on Save Options

You’ll see Footer Copyright Text option, add your text
Click on Save Options

Upload Slider

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Slider Settings
In Slider Settings, you’ll see two option: i) Single Posts as a slider ii) Category post as slider
If you choose Single Posts as a slider,
First, create a post with title, description and featured image
Select the post that you want to display as a Slider (You can add upto four sliders if you choose this option )
Click on Save Options

If you choose Category Posts as a slider,
Create a category under the name Slider
Create a post with title, description and featured image and assign the post to slider category from right metabox of post editor
Select the category to use as a slider.
All the post that are under this category will appear in slider
(You can add as much slider as you want, if you choose this option)
Click on Save Options

Add Blog Section

Create a category under the name Blog
Create a post with title, description and featured image and assign the post to Blog category from right metabox of post editor
Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You’ll see Select the category to display as Blog option
Select the category as Blog from the list
Click on Save Options

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Home Page Settings
Enter No of Posts to display in Blog slider
Enable/Disable to Show Blog Posted Date
Click on Save Options

Add Call to Action Post

Create a post with Title and Description
Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Home Page Settings
Select the post that you want to show as Call To Action Post from the list
Enable/Disable to Show Full Content
Enter Call To Action Post Excerpt Character
Enter Read More Text (Leave blank if you don’t want to show read more)
Click on Save Options

Add Featured Post

Create a post with title, description and featured image
Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Home Page Settings
Enter Featured Title
Enter Featured Text
Select the Post that you want to show as Featured Post from the list
Enter Read More Text (Leave blank if you don’t want to show read more)
Enable/Disable Featured Widget Bar
Click on Save Options

Add Featured Widget Bar

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Home Page Settings
Uncheck the box to Enable Featured Widget Bar
Click on Appearance > Widgets
You’ll see Featured Left Widget, Featured Middle Widget and Featured Right Widget option
Drag required widget inside the box that you want to display in Featured Widget Bar and save the changes in each box.

Set Font-awesome icon instead of Featured Image in Featured Post

Click on Appearance > Theme Options > Home Page Settings
Check to enable Font Awesome icon.
Insert name of icon that you want to show each featured.
(You can select Font Awesome icon from given link)
Click on Save Options

Add Testimonial Section

Create a category under the name Testimonial
Create a post with title, description and featured image and assign the post to Testimonial category from right metabox of post editor
Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You’ll see Select the category to display as Testimonial option
Select the category as Testimonial from the list
Click on Save Options

Add Portfolio Section

Create a category under the name Portfolio
Create a post with title, description and featured image and assign the post to Portfolio category from right metabox of post editor
Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Basic Settings
You’ll see Select the category to display as Portfolio option
Select the category as Portfolio from the list
Click on Save Options

Add Google Map section with Contact Address

Click on Appearance > Themes Options > Home Page Settings
There you’ll see Google Map – To get Values of Latitude and Longitude by Location name, click on http://www.latlong.net option.
Click on this link: http://www.latlong.net
Enter the place name and click on Find.
Then You’ll get Longitude and latitude value copy it and paste it in Longitude and Lattitude box.
Enter Contact Address details
(If you want to add Contact Address then you have to add Google Map as well)
Click on Save Options.

 

Add Contact Form in the Footer

To add a contact page, first you have to install a contact form 7 plugin
Click on Plugins -> Add new
Search contact form 7 plugin
Click on Install now
Activate the plugin
After you activate the plugin, you’ll see Contact Option in left meta box, click it
Copy the Short code

Click on Appearance > Theme Options > Widgets
You’ll see Footer One, Footer Two, Footer Three and Footer Four Option
In any footer option, drag Text widget
Add title and description (Paste the Short code in Description)

Click on Appearance > Themes options > Social Links
You’ll see show Social icons in Footer option, check the box to enable/disable Social icons in Footer
Insert the link address of your profile for individual social site and click Save Options.

Tools Settings

Click on Appearance > Themes options > Tools Settings
In Custom CSS box, insert your Custom CSS
In Custom code box, insert your Custom code or Custom JS
Click on Save Options

Click on Appearance > Theme Options > Widget
You’ll see Footer One, Footer Two, Footer Three and Footer Four Option
In each footer option, drag required Widget and Save it
