Everest Gallery Plugin- Responsive WordPress Gallery Plugin

Installation Instructions

  • Unzip <plugin>.zip file.
  • Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/everest-gallery-plugin.
  • Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  • For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on Everest Gallery option menu in WordPress left admin menu.
  • To display the gallery in the frontend, please use shortcode generated while making gallery where ever necessary.

Once you have successfully installed the plugin, check on the left admin panel for Everest Gallery. Clicking on it to create a new Gallery.

Updating the Plugin

  • Whenever there is an update to the plugin you will receive an email notification.
  • You should be able to download the latest copy the plugin from http://codecanyon.net/downloads
  • To update your plugin, you must first deactivate and delete the previous copy of the plugin.
  • Go to Dashboard-> Plugins, choose to deactivate the plugin and then delete the plugin.
  • Deleting the plugin will not change the plugin configuration or settings as all this information is stored in your WordPress Database.
  • Now, please go to Dashboard-> Plugins-> Add New-> Upload Plugin and place your <plugin>.zip file and click on upload.

Everest Gallery – Settings

Settings Client ID and Access Token

Everest Gallery plugin enables you to create not only image galleries but also all kinds of feeds, audio, video based gallery. To fetch information from other sources, you need to set some API IDs and Tokens.

  • Instagram Access Token: Similarly, to fetch images from your instagram account, click on here to generate new Access Token for your Instagram Account. Make Sure you are logged in to your Instagram Account before trying this. Copy the generated access token in the previous page Access Token Field.

Setting Default Fallback Thumbnail Image for Audio, Video and Post Preview Gallery

  • Audio Preview Image URL: Click on Upload image to upload audio preview image if you want to override the default preview image.
  • Video Preview Image URL: Click on Upload image to upload video preview image if you want to override the default preview image.
  • Post Preview Image URL: Click on Upload image to upload post preview image if you want to override the default preview image.

A default ‘No preview image’ is placed, if you do not set the above settings.

All Galleries/ Gallery List


This is where all your Galleries are created and organized. You can view your Galleries’ Title, Sortcode, Gallery Type, Last Modified Date and Action. Action is where you can Edit, Copy, Preview or Delete any given Gallery. The Galleries you create are arranged in an Alphabetical order.

Add New Gallery

On the All Galleries/ Gallery List page you should find the Add New Gallery Button to Create A new Gallery.
Clicking it will open a Pop-up Module where you can set your Galleries Title, Alias (term used to identify your Gallery), Gallery Shortcode and the type of Gallery you want to create.
Note to not use uppercase letters or spaces while setting Alias. The Alias you use will be present in the Shortcode to identify your Gallery.

Gallery Item Types

You have the option to create six different types of Galleries:

  • Image Gallery
  • Video Gallery
  • Audio Gallery
  • Post Gallery
  • Instagram Gallery
  • Mixed Gallery

Edit Gallery

Here you set the content and behavior of the Gallery
The Edit Gallery consist of

  • General Settings
  • Filter Options
  • Gallery Items
  • Layout
  • Hover Animation
  • Pagination
  • Lightbox
  • Custom

General Settings


In the General Settings, you can view the Shortcode and edit the Gallery Title and Alias. You can also set a CSS ID to identify your Gallery in the frontend.

Filter Options


Here you can set the different filters to classify your Gallery Posts.

  • Enable Filter: Check to enable Filter functionality in the Frontend.
  • All Items Label: Set the label for All items text.
  • Filters: You can create new Filters here. Enter the Filter name and Click Add new Filter to Create new Filters. You can Drag and Drop the Filters to rearrange them or click on the cross to delete the Filter.
  • Filter Layout: You can set Filter layout templates. You can choose ten different Templates. You can view the templates in the Template Preview.

Note: Filter is only available for Grid and Masonry Layout.

Gallery Items

This is where you insert your Gallery items. They way you enter Gallery Items may vary according to type of Gallery.

  • Inserting Image Gallery: Click on Add items and insert single or multiple images items at a time from the WordPress Media Library.
  • Video Gallery:

  • Video Title: Add the Video Title.
  • Video Caption: Add the Video Caption.
  • Video Link: Add Video link
  • Video Type: Choose Video source:
    • YouTube: Enter YouTube video URL.
    • Vimeo: Enter Vimeo video URL.
    • Self Hosted: Add video from the media library.
  • Preview image: Add a preview Image which which will show as video thumbnail in gallery.
  • Audio Gallery

    • Audio Title: Enter Audio Title
    • Audio Caption: Enter Audio Caption
    • Audio Link: Enter Audio Link
    • Audio Type: Enter Audio Source
    • Audio URL: Enter SoundCloud Audio URL
    • Preview Image: Add a preview Image which which will show as audio thumbnail in gallery.
  • Post Gallery

    • Post Type: Select the post type, supports Custom Post Types like Product from WooCommerce.
    • Post Taxonomy: Choose the desired Taxonomy.
    • Post Terms: Choose the desired Taxonomy.
    • Fetch post: Click to fetch the posts.
    • Posts: Select the Posts you want to Add.
    • Caption Length: Define the Post content length.
    • Add Posts: Click to add selected posts to the Gallery
  • Instagram Gallery

    • Instagram Username: Enter your Instagram Username.
    • Total Images: Enter the Number of Images you want to fetch.
    • Access Token: Is set automatically if you have set the Access Token in the Settings Page.
  • Mixed Gallery


The Mixed Gallery is a combination of the Image, Audio, Video and Post Item Gallery. Here you can add Gallery items from any of the above types.

Item Controls


Each Gallery Items comes with four item controls

  • Move: Use the move icon to rearrange your item order with easy drag and drop.
  • Settings: Click on Settings to re-configure your image item properties. This settings may vary according to the Gallery type.
    • Filters: Assign the gallery item to any particular filter category set at Filter Option.

  • Copy: Use to duplicate an already existing item.
  • Delete: Use to remove item from Gallery.

Layout Settings

  • Image Source Type: Here you can set the size of the image in your gallery. We recommend you use Medium image size for Blog Gallery and define a any image size other than original for Grid Layout Gallery.
  • Layout Type: The plugin provides you six different layout types.
    • Grid Layout
    • Masonry Layout
    • Slideshow Layout
    • Flimstrip Layout
    • Blog Layout
    • Carousel Layout
  • Font: you can set the font that appears in the Gallery.
Grid Layout

  • Desktops: Set the number of columns to show on Desktop view.
  • Tablets/Ipad: Set the number of columns to show on Tablet/Ipad view.
  • Mobiles: Set the number of columns to show on Mobile view.
  • Grid/Masonry Layout: Choose from Template 1/ Template 2
Masonry Layout

  • Desktops: Set the number of columns to show on Desktop view.
  • Tablets/Ipad: Set the number of columns to show on Tablet/Ipad view.
  • Mobiles: Set the number of columns to show on Mobile view.
  • Grid/Masonry Layout: Choose from Template 1/ Template 2
Slideshow Layout

  • Slideshow Pause Duration: Please enter the slideshow pause duration in milliseconds. Minimum duration is 1 sec i.e 1000 ms. Default duration is 2500 ms
  • Slideshow Transition Duration: Please enter the slideshow transition duration in milliseconds. Minimum duration is 0.5 sec i.e 500 ms. Default duration is 500 ms
  • Slideshow Mode: Set to Fade/Slide
  • Next/Previous Controls: Please check if you want to show next/previous controls
  • Play/Pause Controls: Please check if you want to show play/pause controls
  • Auto Start: Please check if you want to auto start the slideshow
  • Adaptive Height: Please check if you want to enable adaptive height
  • Pager: Please check if you want to enable pager for the slideshow.
  • Pager Type: Set Dot/ Number.
  • Slideshow Layout: There are five different layouts
FlimStrip Layout

  • Filmstrip Pause Duration: Please enter the Filmstrip pause duration in milliseconds. Minimum duration is 1 sec i.e 1000 ms. Default duration is 1500 ms
  • Filmstrip Mode: Select Fade/Slide
  • Filmstrip Transition Duration: Please enter the filmstrip transition duration in milliseconds. Minimum duration is 0.5 sec i.e 500 ms. Default duration is 500 ms
  • Next/Previous Controls: Please check if you want to show next/previous controls
  • Play/Pause Controls: Please check if you want to show play/pause controls
  • Auto Start: Please check if you want to auto start the filmstrip
  • Adaptive Height: Please check if you want to enable adaptive height
  • Filmstrip Pager Options:
    • Min Slides: Please enter the minimum number of slides to be shown on filmstrip pagination. Default is 4. Please note that min slides should be less than max slides.
    • Max Slides: Please enter the maximum number of slides to be shown on filmstrip pagination. Default is 5. Please note that max slides should be greater than min slides.
    • Pager Thumbnail Width: Please enter the width of each thubmnail. Default width is 170
    • Pager Moves: Please enter the number of pager to be moved on each next/previous click. Default is 1. Please note the pager moves should be less than min and max slides.
    • Flimstrip Layout: You can select from five different layouts.
Blog Layout

  • Blog Layout: Select from seven different layouts
  • Read More Text Label: Enter read more label text.
Carousel Layout

  • Min Slides: Please enter the minimum number of slides to be shown on carousel pagination. Default is 4. Please note that min slides should be less than max slides.
  • Max Slides: Please enter the maximum number of slides to be shown on carousel pagination. Default is 5. Please note that max slides should be greater than min slides.
  • Carousel Item Width: Please enter the width of each carousel item. Default width is 170
  • Carousel Item Moves: Please enter the number of pager to be moved on each next/previous click. Default is 1. Please note the pager moves should be less than min and max slides.
  • Carousel Pause Duration: Please enter the carousel pause duration in milliseconds. Minimum duration is 1 sec i.e 1000 ms. Default duration is 1500 ms
  • Show Controls: Please check if you want to show controls
  • Auto Start: Please check if you want to auto start the carousel
  • Carousel Layout: Select from ten different layouts.

Hover Animation

Select hover animation for each gallery item.

  • Hover Type: There are two types:
    • Show overlay:

Hover Animation Components
  • Lightbox Button: You will need to enable the lightbox in the lightbox section too to display this button
  • Link Button: The link button will only show if link is filled when adding gallery items
  • Title: Check to show Image Title on Hover
  • Caption: Check to show Image Caption on Hover. For hover animation layout 31, it has been disabled.

There are 35 hover overlay to choose from.

Pagination

You can set pagination to the Galleries.

  • Pagination: Enable to set Pagination
  • Items Per Page: Specify the the number of gallery item per page.
  • Pagination Type: Select from
      • Page Numbers:
        • Pagination Layout: Choose from ten different pagination templates.
      • Load More:
        • Load More Text: Enter the Load More text
        • Loader: Select from 16 different loaders.
        • Load More Layout: Select from 10 load more layouts


      Note: Pagination is available for grid and masonry layout only.

      Lightbox

      • Enable Lightbox: Please check if you want to enable lightbox in this gallery
      • Choose Lightbox:
        • Pretty Photo
          • Prettyphoto Theme: Choose from 6 different themes.
          • Social Tools: Please check if you want to enable social sharing(Twitter and Facebook) inside the lightbox
        • Color Box:
          • Lightbox Transition: Choose from Elastic/ Fade or none.

       

      • Magnific popup
        • Everest Light Box
          • Lightbox Theme: You can choose from 4 different themes.


      Audio Gallery, Mixed Gallery, Video Gallery only support Everest Gallery.

      Custom

      You can add additional Custom CSS here.

      Form Action

      • Save: Click on Save to save Gallery Settings
      • Preview: Click to Preview the Gallery in the frontend.
      • Cancel: Exit Edit Gallery

      Export Gallery

      • Gallery: Choose the Gallery you want to export.
      • Gallery Export Code: Copy the generated to the import section of the site where you want to import this gallery.
      • Export URL: Please copy this URL in the Gallery Export URL field of the import section of the site where you want to import this gallery.

      Import Gallery

      • Gallery Import Code: Please paste the code that has been copied from the export section and also note that it will just import the settings but not the images. Image should be uploaded manually through FTP or Cpanel with same folder structure inside uploads folder. Invalid code may result error.
      • Gallery Export URL: Please paste the export URL copied from the export section


      The plugin data and settings are all stored in your WordPress Database and will not be affected if you delete the plugin file.
