Everest Gallery Lite – Free Responsive WordPress Gallery Plugin

Installation Instructions

  • Unzip <plugin>.zip file.
  • Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/everest-gallery-lite.
  • Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  • For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on Everest Gallery option menu in WordPress left admin menu.
  • To display the gallery in the frontend, please use shortcode generated while making gallery where ever necessary.

Once you have successfully installed the plugin, check on the left admin panel for Everest Gallery Lite. Clicking on it to create a new Gallery.

 

Add New Gallery

On the All Galleries/ Gallery List page you should find the Add New Gallery Button to Create A new Gallery.
Clicking it will open a Pop-up Module where you can set your Galleries Title, Alias (term used to identify your Gallery), Gallery Shortcode.
Note to not use uppercase letters or spaces while setting Alias. The Alias you use will be present in the Shortcode to identify your Gallery.

Edit Gallery

Here you set the content and behavior of the Gallery
The Edit Gallery consist of

  • General Settings
  • Gallery Items
  • Layout
  • Hover Animation
  • Lightbox

General Settings

In the General Settings, you can view the Shortcode and edit the Gallery Title and Alias. You can also set a CSS ID to identify your Gallery in the frontend.

 

Gallery Items

This is where you insert your Gallery items.

  • Inserting Image Gallery: Click on Add items and insert single or multiple images items at a time from the WordPress Media Library.


Each Gallery Items comes with four item controls

  • Move: Use the move icon to rearrange your item order with easy drag and drop.
  • Settings: Click on Settings to re-configure your image item properties.

  • Copy: Use to duplicate an already existing item.
  • Delete: Use to remove item from Gallery.

Layout Settings

  • Image Source Type: Here you can set the size of the image in your gallery. We recommend you use Medium image size for Blog Gallery and define a any image size other than original for Grid Layout Gallery.
  • Layout Type: The plugin provides you six different layout types.
    • Grid Layout
    • Masonry Layout

  • Desktops: Set the number of columns to show on Desktop view.
  • Tablets/Ipad: Set the number of columns to show on Tablet/Ipad view.
  • Mobiles: Set the number of columns to show on Mobile view.
  • Grid/Masonry Layout: Choose from Template 1/ Template 2
Masonry Layout

  • Desktops: Set the number of columns to show on Desktop view.
  • Tablets/Ipad: Set the number of columns to show on Tablet/Ipad view.
  • Mobiles: Set the number of columns to show on Mobile view.
  • Grid/Masonry Layout: Choose from Template 1/ Template 2

Hover Animation

Select hover animation for each gallery item from 5 Pre-Designed Hover Animations.

Hover Animation Components
  • Lightbox Button: You will need to enable the lightbox in the lightbox section too to display this button
  • Link Button: The link button will only show if link is filled when adding gallery items
  • Title: Check to show Image Title on Hover
  • Caption: Check to show Image Caption on Hover. For hover animation layout 31, it has been disabled.

  • Enable Lightbox: Please check if you want to enable lightbox in this gallery
  • Lightbox Theme: Choose from 6 different themes.
  • Social Tools: Please check if you want to enable social sharing(Twitter and Facebook) inside the lightbox

Form Action

  • Save: Click on Save to save Gallery Settings
  • Preview: Click to Preview the Gallery in the frontend.
  • Cancel: Exit Edit Gallery

The plugin data and settings are all stored in your WordPress Database and will not be affected if you delete the plugin file.
