Display Like/Dislike Comment Rating For WordPress – Everest Comment Rating Lite

Installation Instructions

  • Unzip everest-comment-rating-lite.zip file.
  • Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/everest-comment-rating-lite.
  • Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  • For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on ‘Comments’ option menu in WordPress left admin menu and go to Everest Comment Rating Lite sub menu

Get Started

Once you have successfully installed the plugin, check for the Everest Comment Rating Lite inside the Comments menu on the left admin menu and click on it. Note that only logged in users can like or dislike your comments via this plugin.

Once you click on that menu , you will see the plugin’s landing page with various tabs on the left.

Here you set the content and behavior of the plugin. Everest Comment Rating Lite basically consists of 3 major tabs in the plugin menu which is individually described below

• Configuration Settings

• Display Settings

• Customization Options

Configuration Settings

This setting allows you to either enable or disable the basic configurations such as like/dislike buttons and counter. It also allows you to set the position of the like/dislike button i.e either Before the Comment or After the Comment.

Display Settings

This setting allows you to select like button, dislike button, templates for like/dislike/counter from the available options.

Customization Options

This setting allows you to customize your icon colors, icon background color, hover color, counter color along with already liked and disliked color.
You can choose any color of your choice via the color picker available

You can also increase or decrease the size of your buttons based on your requirement here.

Once you have completed making the necessary changes in the settings as per your requirement, Click on ‘Save Options’ and you will see the visible output in your frontend. Also, on clicking the ‘Restore Default’, all the changes you made will be changed to the default values of the plugin.
