Installation

  1. Unzip accesspress-social-login.zip
  2. Upload all the files to the /wp-content/plugins/accesspress-social-login
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  4. For customizing the plugin’s settings, click on AccessPress Social Login menu in WordPress of the left admin menu.

Network Settings

In this tab, you can enable and disable the available social media as per your need.

Also, you can order the appearance of social media’s simply by drag and drop.

For each social media, you need to configure the following

  • Enable/Disable: You can enable and disable social media:
  • App ID: App id of social media:
  • App secret: App secret of social media:

To get the App ID and App Secret please follow the instructions or note found in each of the social network with detail instruction of how to configure the app for the related individual social network.

In this tab, you can do various settings of a plugin.

Enable or disable the social login.

Options to enable the social logins for login form, registration form and in comments.

Display Option

Choose the options where you want to display the social login form.

  • Login Form: Either enable or disable the social login for the default WordPress login form.
  • Register Form: Either enable or disable the social login for the default WordPress register user form.
  • Comments: Either enable or disable the social login for the default WordPress comment section for the post/page.

Set User Role

Choose the user role to user that you want to assign them while logging in or registering for the site by default.

Options to choose the pre available themes, You can choose any one theme from the pre available 30 social login templates.

Text Settings

Options to choose the pre available themes, You can choose a text to display in the form, template where the various text is being displayed.

  • Login text:Here you can setup the login text as per your need.
  • Login short text:You can setup the login short text to be displayed in the login template. If you kept blank “Login” text will appear.
  • login with long text:You can setup the login long text. If you kept blank “Login with” text will appear.
  • Link title attribute:You can setup the link title attributes for social icons.
  • Hide Long Text:This is the checkbox that you can set whether to display the login long text or not. If checked, then by default only the name of the social network will be displayed.
  • Login error message:From this option, you can set what error message to display. If this field is empty. The default “You have Access Denied. Please authorize the app to login.” text will appear.

  • Home page:This radio button option allows you to select the logout redirect url as homepage by default as set in the site.
  • Current page:Or else, you can set the logout redirect link to the current page, where the login template is being displayed.
  • Custom page:You can also set the custom redirect link. Please set this value if you want to redirect the user to the custom page url(full url). If this field is not set they will be redirected back to current page.

  • Current page: Or else, you can set the log out to redirect link to the current page, where the login template is being displayed.
  • Custom page: You can also set the custom redirect link. Please set this value if you want to redirect the user to the custom page URL(full URL). If this field is not set they will be redirected back to the current page.

Field Mapping

Here you can map users profiles fields to the appropriate BuddyPress xprofile fields. The left column shows the available user’s profiles fields: These select boxes are called source fields. The right column shows the list of BuddyPress profiles fields: Those are the destination fields. If you don’t want to map a particular Buddypress field, then leave the source for that field blank.

Widgets

When you install the plugin, you will find a widget named “AccessPress Social Login” in the widget section, You can place these widgets in any widget area and can configure as per your needs. Since the widget has the multi-instance, so you can add the same widget as much as you want.

Shortcode

Use the shortcode [apsl-login] to display the social login within your content in posts and pages.

Use the function <?php echo do_shortcode('[apsl-login]'); ?>
to display within template or theme files.

Note

  1. If you have upgraded the plugin from FREE to PRO or find any unusual issues then please setup the plugin by restoring default settings once.
  2. Sometimes, when configuring the social network app, show the error such as “domain not recognized/ cannot use the “social network name” in the URL. During this, you can simply put the site domain link instead of full URL. For e.g., if https://demo.accesspressthemes.com/wordpress-plugins/accesspress-social-login/ don’t work while creating an app, you can simply use https://accesspressthemes.com or https://demo.accesspressthemes.com
