Configure General Settings

Goto Settings in your Dashboard
Click on General in left menu bar
Enter the Site Title
Enter Tagline related to your site
Enter WordPress Address
Enter Site Address
Update you Time Zone
Save the changes

Goto Settings in your Dashboard
There you’ll see Reading, Writing And Discussion settings, configure the settings as per your need.

Change Your Permalink Structure

By default WordPress uses web URLs which have question marks and lots of numbers in them. As default permalink structure is not very Google Friendly, select the permalink structure from the list. The best ones to use are Day and Name or Post name.

Goto Settings in your Dashboard
Click on Permalink left menu bar
Select the Permalink Structure


Install a Cache Plugin

cache plugin helps speed up your site. Caching helps take the load off your server and make your site faster. This is great for SEO as well as prevents your site from crashing during heavy load times.

Goto Plugins In Dashboard
Click on Add New
Search for Cache Plugin (The best is to install Wp Super Cache)
Install the plugin and activate plugin
Turn on Caching
Update Staus

Go to Plugins In Dashboard
Click on Add New

Install the plugin and activate plugin
